Annie from Crossfit Santa Cruz demonstrating the starting position of a deadlift. We'll number them 1-4 starting on the left. Which is the correct way to start? I might even tweek something in the correct one (bonus points if you can guess what).

I've had bad hair days, but this was a bad lifting day. I failed 4 times @ 20# under my pr.
Not happy.

The correct answer was number 1 and if it wasn't someone who was very experienced with the deadlift I might adjust the neck. I would move it to more of a neutral position.
